Title: LCV NORTHCOM NTC: Ammunition Handler Program Summary As part of the LOGCAP NORTHCOM scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled U.S. Army training exercises. KBR’s LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations. Job Summary The Ammunition Handler is responsible for the safe handling of a variety of ammunition, explosives, and rockets. Receives, stores, and issues ammunition and residue items in support of Theater Ammunition Supply Point (TASP) operations. Principal Duties: Receipt, storage, and issue of ammunition, ammunition components, and ammunition related material. Conduct periodic inventory of ammunition, ammunition components, and ammunition related material. Maintain and update magazine data cards, ammunition store slips, storage plan-O-graphs, and other related documents. Interpret ammunition storage data and transportation drawings for DOT shipments. Load and offload explosives laden vehicles. Perform 100% inspection of all returned residue to ensure it is explosive free. Process issues and turn-ins in accordance with established procedures. Quality of Services: Performs principal ammunition accountabilities defect free. Provides timeliness and responsive Customer support while performing duties in a safe manner. Ensures all ammunition has been inspected and sealed by a QASAS prior to storing in the bunkers. Maintains worksites to the Company's lean standards to enhance production. Performs housekeeping of worksites and clears brush from fence line to 10 feet on both sides. Supports/participates in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA program. Complies with Ammunition DoD instructions, DoD and U.S. Army Regulations and Pamphlets, Company SOP, and local work instructions and procedures. Safety: Wears prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ensures equipment is properly dispatched with a dispatch logbook and performs daily PMCS. Maintains Company driver's license and at a minimum conducts forklift re-certification every three years. Maintains accountability and properly operates equipment under use. Observes policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance for explosive safety and OSHA/CALOSHA. Physical Security: Observes strict key control procedures. Observes policy, procedures, and regulatory guidance for physical security. Training: Trains, cross-trains, and enhances the performance of co-workers and other personnel. The GSEM diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment (GSE); advises and trains lower-grade personnel on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair/maintenance problems; inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications; uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions; and analyzes, diagnosis, and repairs GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools. As a GSEM, you will maintain external fuel and grounding systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE and inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. You will also service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air as well as diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. Our GSEM will also be responsible the following: Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories Stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles. We are currently looking to hire Engineering Technicians on a part-time, on-call basis at Fort Irwin, CA to support our unit rotation schedules. The frequency of the work is nine (9) to ten (10) times a year for about 1500 hours (or more), many of which are overtime hours. Our Surge Technicians work 12 consecutive days during unit rotations and we support up to ten (10) rotations a year (typically) at the Fort Irwin location. As a surge PTOC technician, your duties include (but are not limited to): Providing support of test events on military ranges which requires a knowledge of military protocol and standard operating procedures during FTX events. Applying technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and computer skills in support of operations and routine maintenance on EW & Radar systems and their peripheral equipment. Setting up EW & Radar systems at remote locations, operating the systems in support of test missions, and tearing down the systems once testing is completed. Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within their scope of work. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment of military test events. The Engineering Technician IV performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. Work Conditions: Conditions will vary as most work will be accomplished outdoors. Must be able to work outside on the range throughout the year where temperatures and weather conditions will vary. The GSEM diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment (GSE); advises and trains lower-grade personnel on diagnosis and repair of less complex repair/maintenance problems; inspects and approves completed maintenance actions; solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications; uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions; and analyzes, diagnosis, and repairs GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools. As a GSEM, you will maintain external fuel and grounding systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE and inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. You will also service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air as well as diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. Our GSEM will also be responsible the following: Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories Stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles. Maintains vehicle records Maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times The basic requirements of the position include, but are not limited to: Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE). Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems. Diagnoses all system components including electrical, electronics, and emissions related fault codes etc., in order to repair or replace faulty parts, as indicated by required testing or visual observations. Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions. Maintains external fuel and grounding systems Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment. Operates, cleans, inspects and services GSE towing vehicles. Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within their scope of work Work Conditions: Conditions will vary as most work will be accomplished outdoors as there will be work on the range throughout the year so temperatures will vary. Activities will include 45% standing, 25% walking, 20% sitting, 5% reaching, and 5% lifting. Must be capable of lifting 50-100 pounds assisted by other employees. Must be able to deploy both CONUS and OCONUS. Shift hours will vary by mission requirements. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions. Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned. Requirements Education/Experience/Skills: High School diploma or equivalent.
